Evidenced by the United Plant Savers’ Ginseng Summit of 2014 and the North Carolina Natural Products Association’s International Ginseng Expo of 2015, there is tender evolution taking place in regards to the American ginseng industry.
Different factions of therapeutic philosophy began to appear and publish literary arguments about the cause and more specifically the treatment of disease. They also argued internally about what to call themselves and their principles of practice and therapeutic strategy, about the nature and form of medical education, and about who should be qualified to receive the illustrious title of ‘Physician’ (or the acrimonious distinction of ‘Quack’).
Winter. I’ve never much cared for the cold. Where sustenance is sustained. Where friends are made and lost, love proposed and declined, and where human and plant are destined to consume each other. A garden is not just a garden.
