Come and spend some time with the Columbus Natural History Society as we explore some medicinal plants of Ohio. The presentation will begin with a short history of how botanic physicians of the late 19th and early 20th centuries put Ohio on the map as they paved the way for the American Botanical Movement, changing the practice of medicine as we know it today and forging the foundations for the practice of herbalism in modern day America. We will then be highlighting a variety of native plants of Ohio that have both traditional and modern use in healing and medicine. This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 and the presentation begins at 7:00.
